Lance Ludlow

I was born and raised in Leland, Utah and went to school in Spanish Fork. I was involved in sports all through school, but my interests were in farming and raising livestock.

I have always been interested in metal work.  I was employed as a steel worker for 37 years.

Upon retirement, my wife and I moved to Santa Clara Utah.  I now have a metal shop which allows me to create sculptures of all sizes.

I've always been considered a little redneck with a touch of class.  Sometimes my work weighs heavy one way or the other.

Connie Gates

Living in Utah, Connie spent her business career in Financial Management at the University of Utah and Economic Development for the State of Utah. During the course of her career while searching for a creative outlet, she discovered the art of kiln formed glass, sometimes referred to as “fused glass.” She began her journey with glass art in a class taught at the University of Utah in 1994 and it was at this point that she realized working with vibrant glass colors was not only a great stress reliever, but also a passion.

As a self taught artist, Connie continues to attend glass art classes, and watercolor classes further elevating her art skills. She also dabbles in metal art, often incorporating glass and metals to form unique jewelry pieces and outdoor art. Since completing her studio in Utah, she currently teaches beginning and intermediate kiln formed glass classes. Her glass art ranges from practical to abstract, reflecting on the dynamics of texture, color, and illusion of movement created with glass.
