Micqaela Jones

For the past 21 years, enrolled Shoshone Tribal member Micqaela Jones has been creating paintings inspired by her Native Culture. She says, “From the beginning, my goal has been to create paintings that people connect with, art that tells a story, either about nature or my culture. As a self-taught artist, a lot of my time early on was spent trying various techniques, playing with color and texture, trying to put on canvas what was in my mind.”
